SUMMER PROGRAM 2024

2024 SUMMER PROGRAM
2024 SUMMER PROGRAM BG

Join our Special Program in the Summer Season

The summer program at Marie International School cultivates the three key elements of our educational philosophy, "Confidence to Be": "Knowing Me," "Knowing You," and "Expanding Us."

Comprising three parts - Science, English, and Creativity - the program fosters essential skills in each area. In Part 1 - Science, students develop inquiry skills (Knowing You), while Part 2 - English, enhances self-expression abilities (Knowing Me), and Part 3 - Creativity, encourages the development of an innovative mindset (Expanding Us).

An All-English Environment

An All-English Environment

Although all levels of English speakers are welcome, there will be a strict no-Japanese policy, and English will be used at all times. Students will be encouraged to express themselves in English as much as they can.

Make Unforgettable Memories

Make Unforgettable Memories

Our teachers have created an exciting schedule where students can further develop their abilities in a variety of areas. Hands on educational activities have been prepared to stimulate all types of learners.

Delicious Handmade Lunches

Delicious Handmade Lunches

MIS's dedicated nutritionist prepares school lunches every day. We provide safe and delicious lunches that are nutritionally balanced, using only the best seasonal ingredients whilst being conscious of the place of origin.

Part 1 : Science Adventures for Young Minds

7/22 Monday - 26 Friday

Welcome to 'Science Adventures for Young Minds,' where curiosity knows no bounds! The program is designed to ignite the spark of inquiry in young minds, guiding them through a series of thrilling scientific explorations. Through hands-on activities and engaging experiments, participants embark on a journey of discovery, where they pose questions, devise hypotheses, and put them to the test. At the end of the program, students will be working their final report, unveiling their transformative learnings and ground breaking insights!

Group A being a program designed for beginner English learners and/or young learners, teachers will be systematically reviewing and reinforcing the building blocks of the English language through a comprehensive approach that incorporates elements such as phonics, useful phrases, and basic grammar principles. In this program, students can progressively enhance their language skills and gain confidence in their ability to communicate effectively. We mix learning with fun activities all conducted in English, such as an exciting outdoor picnic event at the end of the first week, to encourage social interaction among students and teachers.

Throughout the program, students will collaborate on preparing a Culture fair, selecting a culture of interest to research and present alongside their peers. This project not only reinforces their English language skills but also fosters teamwork and cultural awareness as they work together to create an engaging presentation for their parents and guardians. Join us for a summer of learning, growth, and friendship!
