Graduation is an emotional time of the year. Everyone is filled with so many emotions ranging from excitement to nervousness. There is happiness and sadness. For some of the children, it is the first time that they need to say goodbye to a friend, possibly for the last time. On the other hand there is lots of excitement and happiness to be moving up to primary school and the feeling of growing up.

For the graduation performances, the Little Tikes students sang a song before receiving their certificates for advancing a grade. They learned the song “Thank you.”

The K2 students learned the song “Reach for the Stars.” They were also busy making goodbye presents for the K3 students. We wrote letters to them and drew pictures that they could take with them. 

For the K3 students presentation we had the students do a speech about themselves and also a question and answer session with me. To help with this presentation, they drew a life sized picture of themselves. Their friends helped to colour the picture. After the questions and answers, K3 sang the graduation song.

It was finally time for the graduation ceremony. The graduating students changed into the graduation gowns and hats. It was a proud moment for both parents and students.
