On October 17th, our Matsuyama Kindergarten students went on a special excursion—to a pizza restaurant! Before diving into all the pizza fun, the restaurant had prepared a wonderful activity: making crayons! The children got to create their very own colorful crayons, shaping them into cute little animals to take home.

Next came the highlight—pizza time! The students chose from a wide variety of toppings, including lotus root, mushrooms, zucchini, and more. They worked hard to flatten their pizza dough into nice round shapes, spread on the tomato sauce, and decorate their creations with their chosen toppings. The most exciting part was watching the pizzas bake in the big stone oven! Everyone was fascinated to see the roaring fire inside and learn that firewood is needed to keep it burning.

And of course, nothing beat the moment when the pizzas came out of the oven — hot, fresh, and delicious! The children enjoyed their handmade pizzas with a cool drink, smiling from ear to ear.

After lunch, we headed to a park by the beach, where the weather was just perfect. The students had a wonderful time sliding down grassy slopes, playing in the sand, and splashing in the sparkling water. Although our fun-filled day had to come to an end, we still enjoyed one last treat—some tasty snacks back at school! It was truly a joyful day full of laughter, discovery, and appreciation for both creativity and nature’s playground.
