The build up to Christmas is always an exciting one. We had so much to do that we almost had no time to study. Studying during this time of year comes in the form of learning lines and songs. The children were keen to show their parents their hard work over the last 2 months.
After the content of our performance was decided, we got to work. We had three songs to practice and learn dance moves to. Some were naturals, some found it difficult but all of them tried their best.
We also had lines to learn. Now that the children can read fairly well, we printed them copies of the script so they could follow along. For the younger students, we printed just their lines to practice at home. Learning the lines was the easy part, knowing when to say their lines was a bit more difficult.
In between performance practices, we were very busy making props for the songs and play. The students loved helping the teachers whenever they could. The older students helped make the magic and the younger students colored the ingredients. They all helped to make the machine.
When it was time to go out on stage and show their parents all of their efforts, the students did not disappoint. The performance was amazing! We could not be more proud of them. Great job everyone!!
