We are excited to share a major milestone in our school’s journey — our Primary School has officially moved into a brand-new building in Ashiya. This relocation marks much more than a change of address; it represents growth, possibility, and our continued commitment to providing the very best learning environment for our students.

Our new campus is significantly larger than our previous space, allowing us to reimagine how children learn, move, and interact throughout the day. With more room to breathe and grow, the building has been thoughtfully designed to support both academic learning and students’ overall wellbeing.

One of the most noticeable changes is the bright, open classrooms. Large windows fill the rooms with natural light, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where students can stay focused, curious, and comfortable. Each classroom has been designed with flexibility in mind, making it easy to switch between whole-class learning, group work, and independent study.

Besides the classrooms, we also upgraded our facilities inside our school. Students can now enjoy P.E. lessons in a wide gym classroom with a lot of space for all the activities. On the top floor we opened our cafeteria and Cooking class area. Now everyone can enjoy their lunches together with friends and learn about cooking different foods with brand new equipment!

Just as importantly, the new building allows us to expand what we can offer. With additional rooms and improved infrastructure, we can continue to grow our programs, introduce new learning opportunities, and better support the diverse needs of our students as they progress through Primary school.

Located in Ashiya, the campus benefits from a calm, pleasant environment that reflects the values we hold dear: balance, respect, and a love of learning. It is a place where children can feel secure, inspired, and proud of their school. We are incredibly proud of this new chapter and grateful to our families, students, and staff for growing with us. We look forward to filling this beautiful new building with learning, laughter, creativity, and countless memorable moments in the years to come.

Although it was exciting to prepare for the move by packing our previous Primary school together, filling the boxes with the textbooks, piling up the furniture and making sure nothing is left behind, it was a bitter sweet feeling to put all our keys together for the last time and return them as we saw the doors close behind us for the last time.

We are extremely excited to see the growth of the students and the teachers in this new environment for the years to come. Every month brings a new challenge but also a new opportunity to have something new and better. We will all strive to make Marie International School Ashiya the best place for the students and teachers alike!
