We are excited to share the highlights from this year’s MIS School Camp, held at The Farm in Katori, Chiba! Our students enjoyed two days and one night filled with adventure, teamwork, and memorable experiences. Here’s a recap of their activities:

Day 1: Arrival and Activities
After a hearty lunch, our students braved the windy and chilly weather to begin their day. They enjoyed a delicious meal such as hamburgers, karaage, vegetables, and delightful desserts.

After the students took a peek into their cozy rooms, the students participated in outdoor activities. They played soccer, which promotes teamwork and friendly competition. Meanwhile, some students went to the nearby farm to pick fresh vegetables. Some of the vegetables they picked were lettuce, green peppers, and even some “peanuts” (rakase)! The student had the opportunity to take home their vegetables and was indeed a wonderful experience.

In the evening, the students gathered for a fun BBQ and campfire. Some teachers and students prepared the meat and food, and everyone shared food and laughter. Everyone also got a chance to help build the campfire. Some of the highlight of the night was making s'mores and enjoying a soup party hosted by Koki. The students also enjoyed various drinks like cola, grape juice, orange juice, and water.

After a public shower and some relaxation, the students settled in for the night. Some watched a movie on a projector while the others enjoyed Facetime with their parents. Also, to help everyone prepare to sleep, some teachers played soothing lullaby to help them fall asleep.

Students spent the night in cozy bedrooms with fluffy, soft beds and some futon beds. The rooms also featured hammocks and balconies for extra comfort. Most students fell asleep quickly, while others enjoyed chatting until they fell asleep, looking forward to another day of fun.

Day 2: Adventures Continue
The next morning began at 6 AM. In some rooms, students engaged in a playful pillow fight. Before breakfast, some students enjoyed time at the onsen while the others played a morning game of soccer to start the day with energy.

At breakfast, a delightful buffet awaited them where students enjoyed a variety of dishes, including fried mackerel, salad, ochazuke, french fries, karaage, yogurt, fruits, miso soup, and even curry! They also had milk and orange juice to drink.

After breakfast, it was time to pack up and head to Narita Dream Farm. There, students enjoyed sledding and also got to interact with animals like goats, sheep, pigs, and cows. They fed the goats and learned about the animals, all of whom had name tags.

After the fun at the park was another delicious lunch. They had hamburgers, sandwiches, and yogurt. Following lunch, students had some free time to shop for souvenirs to remember their adventure.
